We want enough people to sign up so that we get good national coverage, but we need to put a cap on it, or individuals won't make enough money to make it worth their while. So if you have friends or family that you think might want to participate, then lets get them on board now.
Only Stand Up Chefs can submit recipes or cookbook submissions.
Here is the reason why you have to register with us.... anyone can copy recipes off the internet and anyone can say that our "Best Meatloaf Ever" was their idea. There is a reason why traditional publishing companies will only go through agents and why production companies will send back unagented screenplays unopened--people claim their ideas are stolen and sue.
At StandUp, we are guarding ourselves--and you as contributors--against this kind of hassle and frustration. We only work with StandUp Chefs. And you have to pay $25.00 for the priviledge.
Here, no need for you to go through the laborious, expensive, and often fruitless search for an agent--you deal directly with us. Register to become a StandUp Chef and become a part of our pantry of authors where you can
- contribute to Stand Up Cookbooks
- contribute to the traditionally bound cookbooks
- be assigned one of our cookbooks ideas, write it solely, and make it yours
- submit a book idea to us, and allow us to publish it
Also keep in mind that though we are starting out with just the publication of cookbooks, we expect to exand into our other imprints soon. So stay tuned.
We cannot stress this enough---THIS IS NOT a vanity press or self publishing outfit. We hold the same standards as traditional publishing, but with a twist. All contributors/authors/editors are paid advances and royalties in perpetuity.
Now, for the cost of a cookbook, you can be part of this ground breaking and fun national phenomenon, write some cookbooks, see your name in print, do book signings, build credits, make money....and more.
